Anyone can participate

Entrants may be individuals as well as businesses with projects from all fields. At the spring round of 2018, more attention is paid on ideas regarding digitalization of industry, big data in energetics and fintech.

15 MAR

TOP 40

Ideas submitted by March 15th are evaluated by Prototron`s assessors, who will select the TOP40 ideas. On the 15th of April TOP40 teams will participate in a training covering financing, intellectual property, prototyping and sales, and get pointers for drawing up a 2-pager (a two page summary of a business plan to potential investors).

TOP 20

Based on the 2-pagers created, TOP20 teams will be selected to enter the next round. The selected 20 teams will get to attend the Mentor´s Day on th 3rd of May and get personalized mentoring.

TOP 10

At the end of the Mentor´s Day, the final TOP10 teams will be announced, who receive additional training for pitching and media-communication. This will help prepare for their final presentation on the 15th of May to the Prototron’s Expert Committee, which will decide the winners and financing. In Addition, the TOP10 teams get a chance to pitch their ideas at start-up and tech conference Lattitude59 in Tallinn on the 24th of May, where the Prototron 2018 spring round winners will be announced.

25 MAY

The winner of Prototron 2018 spring round will receive, in addition to the know-how and useful contacts made during the process: up to 35 000€ equity free funding for prototyping, at least 6 months of incubator services at Science park Tehnopol and legal aid form Hedman Lift.

Extra funding can be provided by Elering (up to 10 000€ for projects relevant to energy sectors big data in energy sector), Utilitas (up to 10 000€ for projects in environmental technology) and Tallinn University of Technology (up to 25 000€ for ideas from members of Tallinn University of Technology).
